Washing and care instructions
To ensure you enjoy your favorite pants for a long time, follow the care instructions. Hand wash or machine wash? What temperature can the jeans tolerate? Are the pants suitable for tumble drying, and can they be ironed?
You will find answers to these and other questions in every pair of MAC trousers – on the washing instructions with care instructions in the inner waistband. These are individually tailored to each pair of MAC trousers. There are also questions on the subject of “washing trousers and jeans” that only you can answer. For example, how often should you wash your jeans? The general rule is that jeans should not be washed unnecessarily often. Frequent washing damages even the best fibers. MAC jeans are known for their comfort and fit. One reason for this is the small amount of elastane that they contain alongside cotton. However, elastane is very sensitive to heat and requires appropriate care. Use a detergent without bleach and do not add fabric softener to trousers with elastane.
Whether you prefer a cool denim look or chic trousers – with proper care, you'll enjoy your MAC trousers!
Fabric trousers (flat weave)
Wash
Close zippers and buttons before washing and remove any jewelry. Turn the pants inside out to protect the fibers and color. Wash the pants at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle or easy-care cycle with mild detergent. Wash with similar colors to avoid possible color transfer to other fabrics. Load the drum loosely and do not overfill. Select the gentle spin setting (600-800 rpm).
The right detergent
Mild detergent, liquid or powder, cleans fabrics gently. Detergents for colors and heavy-duty laundry contain optical brighteners or bleaching agents, which can damage the fabric. Fabric softeners cause pants to stretch and lose their shape more quickly. Adjust the detergent dosage to the amount of laundry, always keeping in mind that "less is more." Only add detergent via the dispenser drawer; never pour it directly into the drum.
Dry
Immediately after washing, pull the pants into shape and hang them up. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. The high temperature and spin speed are not suitable for the material.
Iron
The trousers can be ironed according to the care label, usually at a low temperature.
Jeans/Denim
Wash
Close zippers and buttons before washing. Turn pants inside out to reduce stress on fibers and color. Wash jeans with elastane fibers at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle or easy-care cycle with mild detergent. Washing at low temperatures also saves energy and is therefore better for the environment. Wash with similar colors to avoid possible color transfer onto other fabrics. Load the drum loosely and do not overfill.

Dry
After washing, pull jeans into shape while still damp, hang them up flat, and air dry. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. High temperatures and spin speeds are not suitable for the material.
Iron
Only iron jeans with elastane at a low temperature to avoid damaging the fibers. It's best to stretch them into shape while still damp and hang them up flat.
