We care
Sustainability
For us, sustainability is a commitment that we approach in a structured manner. As a family-run business with strong regional roots, we rely on clear requirements and documented procedures – from the selection of suitable materials and components, through defined production standards, to transparent information in our sales processes.

ACTING RESPONSIBLY IS WHAT DRIVES US
Driven by a team of over 500 employees, MAC strives every day to develop and produce high-quality, desirable trousers that fit perfectly – based on clear requirements and defined standards. Our brand stands for timeless collections with a keen sense of the spirit of the times. In our in-house sample workshop, designs are created through a combination of creativity and precision craftsmanship, underpinned by a structured approach to materials, processes and internal guidelines. True to our guiding principle: MAC #itsbettertogether.

PRODUCTION FACILITIES & PARTNERS

Our trousers are produced through a network of long-standing, specialist manufacturing partners. Depending on the style, material and finish, production may take place in different countries and facilities. For us, it is not geography alone that matters, but clear requirements, reliable quality control and consistent quality.
For every product decision, we assess which option best meets our requirements overall – in terms of quality, social standards and defined environmental criteria. Where implementation closer to our base is possible and sensible, we proceed accordingly. Where specialised processes or qualities are required, we expand our network as needed – always based on careful selection and clear guidelines.
MAC aligns itself with selected UN Sustainable Development Goals

EUROPEAN HEMP CONNECTION
Hemp is a traditional crop that has long been used in Europe. Today, through the “European Hemp Connection” initiative, we are committed to making its potential for textile applications viable again at a regional level. Together with farmers, policymakers and other partners, we are working on pilot projects and partnerships across the value chain. The aim: to create a reliable foundation for suitable applications in textiles.

Operational energy concept for MAC
MAC is implementing a site-specific energy strategy developed in collaboration with students from OTH Amberg and funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. This includes a photovoltaic system at the company’s headquarters. The strategy and the measures implemented are documented in our MAC Sustainability Report.
