#1 THE PAPER: What is your personal drive in life?

Valentin Kluss: I am driven by the desire to perform at the highest level every day. Getting the most out of every day and continuously improving myself is like being on the racetrack for me: through small optimisations – braking later or accelerating a little earlier – I get faster lap by lap.

#2 THE PAPER: What is your ultimate goal in your job as a racing driver?

Valentin Kluss: My goal is to be able to make a living from racing as soon as possible. For me, there is no better idea than racing on the most famous racetracks in the world and earning money doing it – plus, of course, doing so in the long term.

#3 THE PAPER: What fascinates you most about racing?

Valentin Kluss: The aesthetics of the racing cars and their dynamics on the track, combined with the competition behind it and the challenge of measuring yourself against the best in the world. All this makes motor sport so special to me.

#4 THE PAPER: What are you best at?

Valentin Kluss: Overtaking and defending are among my greatest strengths. In duels on the track, I almost always manage to outmanoeuvre my opponents through intelligent racing and correct positioning of the car – and to come out on top.
